Winter Selections

With the arrival of cold weather, our focus shifts to wines with complexity and depth.

Our white selection derives from a region in the southwest of Bordeaux called Entre-deux-Mers, (in translation: between two seas). The Dupuch-Mondon family prides itself on sustainability and clean/natural methods of growing. This white Bordeaux blend of sauvignon blanc, sémillon and muscadelle is pale in color, balanced, complex, with an enduring citrus finish. A wonderful match to our Mediterranean Spiced Cod or Wood- grilled Pork Tenderloin dishes.

The winter red is a perfect pair with a savory dish, or on its own. The Gagliardo Barbera d’Alba is made from a combination of grapes that are strictly hand-picked from two areas, Langhe and Roero (Piedmont) then aged in steel barrels giving this varietal its unique depth, minerality and fragrance. This is a medium bodied red with notes of juicy black cherries, soft tannins and a lasting finish. Pair this wine with our Duck Torta or Lager-braised Lamb Shank, it will not disappoint.
